HOSA Canada Registration
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!
Students must purchase a membership to be part of HOSA Canada. As a member, students will get access to US HOSA’s benefits, which include scholarships, summer research program opportunities, and more. In addition, students will get access to study resources for the competitive event they have registered for through Google Classroom.
With a membership, students can purchase HOSA Canada’s events package, which allows students to attend and participate in our monthly workshops/seminars and both the Fall and Spring Leadership Conference. For more information, please visit the Conferences and Workshops page.
Students may opt to only purchase the membership. In that case they will be able to learn the HOSA Canada content for their registered event, but will not be able to attend conferences and workshops.
Registration will open on September 5, 2023.
Chapter Registration
Chapter registration is back! Chapters will NOT be using shop.hosacanada.org to register. In order to form a chapter, you need a minimum of five paying students and a teacher advisor.
- Complete the following form (LINK) and provide the details of the chapter president and teacher. Please ensure all fields are completed, as we will need to communicate with you throughout the year.
- Once the form above is completed, you will be emailed a spreadsheet that will be used to register your members.
- Follow the instructions on the “Instructions” sheet carefully, to ensure you register your members correctly.
- To register for FLC: Please click the “submit” button on your spreadsheet by November 10, 2023 at 11:59 pm. Any changes made to the spreadsheet after this date will not be accepted for FLC.
- After FLC is over, you can make changes to the spreadsheet for SLC. To register for SLC: Please click the “submit” button on your spreadsheet by March 29, 2024 at 11:59 pm. Any changes made to the spreadsheet after this date will not be accepted.
- After you click submit, an invoice will be emailed to you within two business days.
- Schools must ensure that we receive a cheque with the amount indicated on your invoice by the above deadlines. Please send a clear, well-lit image of the front and back of the cheque on a level surface, if your students would like to receive their Google Classroom resources sooner.
- If you registered a student for FLC, you do not need to pay for them again for SLC. However, if after FLC, you add new students, we must receive their payment by the SLC registration deadline.
- Please make sure that students only provide a Gmail, so that we can send them their Google Classroom resources. This means that students cannot provide a school email or an email with a non-Gmail domain (ex. Yahoo, Hotmail, iCloud, etc.).
To change an event, the student should send an email to info@hosacanada.org. If you update the spreadsheet but do not notify us, the change will not be accepted, and you will not be sent the new Google Classroom resources.
Individual Registration
The 2023-2024 school year is the LAST year we will be allowing students to register individually. As such, it is highly encouraged that you begin to start forming a chapter at your school, to avoid not being able to participate in subsequent years.
Individual registration will begin in early-October.

HOSA Canada Fees
Chapters
The Membership Fee is $50 and provides students with access to study resources for a selected event and other benefits associated with being a HOSA member (https://hosa.org/membership-benefits/).
The Events Fee is $70 and allows students to compete in all HOSA competitions (FLC, SLC, and ILC) and all workshops for the current school year .
Both fees must be paid ($120) in order to attend FLC, SLC, and workshops.
Individuals
In addition to the regular fees outlined above, an administrative fee of $10 is applied to individual registrations to reflect the added difficulty in processing them, especially during SLC.

Important Dates
If students register before November 10, 2023 at 11:59 pm, they will get to take part in our Fall Leadership Conference (FLC), where they can test out their preparation and see where they rank amongst their peers. Students do not need to register again for the Spring Leadership Conference (SLC), as the events fee includes both conferences.
If students register after November 10, 2023 at 11:59 pm, they will not be able to participate in FLC, but can still participate in SLC and attend workshops throughout the year.
Refunds
HOSA Canada offers full refunds for the membership and events fee, as long as you submit a request prior to the refund deadlines.
If you paid prior to the FLC registration deadline (November 10, 2023 at 11:59 pm), you CANNOT request a refund AFTER this date.
If you paid after November 10, 2023 at 11:59 pm, you have until March 29, 2024 at 11:59 pm to request a refund.
To request a refund:
- For Chapters: If you have already submitted your chapter registration spreadsheet, the chapter president/advisor must send us an email to ask for a refund for a student, as long as you meet the deadlines above. They must also ensure they remove you from the chapter spreadsheet.
- For Individuals: Please send us an email at info@hosacanada.org to request a refund, as long as you meet the deadlines above.
