Date and Location
Each year HOSA Canada organizes Canada’s largest health science competition, featuring over forty competitive events. Some events are focused on developing profession-specific technical skills while others on important soft skills like teamwork, leadership and communication. For the 2019 Spring Conference, HOSA Canada is expecting a turnout of 3,000 students over two days at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The conference will be held on March 25 – 26, 2019.
The conference will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre – North Building. All events and general sessions will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Round 2 Qualifiers
Round 2 Qualifiers
For events that include a written component, examinations will be conducted during the conference at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and will be completed on Scantron sheets. Business attire is required for the examination.
Procedural / Presentation Component
Most events with a procedural and presentation component will be conducted at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Certain events may be conducted at other clinical locations which shuttle buses will be provided.
The clinical locations this year are TBD.
Please check individual event guidelines for the materials students are required to provide.
Workshops and Activities
There will be hands-on and lecture style workshops hosted by universities, corporations and non-profits at the 2019 Spring Leadership Conference. Some workshops will have limited capacity for which registration and applications may be required.

Students are not required to stay overnight for the conference. If your chapter intends to do so however, we recommend the Intercontinental Hotel which is directly connected to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Please inquire for more details.
Students are required to bring the necessary equipment listed in each event guideline. The event guidelines can be found here. If the student fails to provide the equipment required, it may result in the student being disqualified.
HOSA Canada will provide student ID badges, scantron sheets, and the facilitator equipment. Please ensure members wear their Student ID badge and have Government Photo ID, for security reasons.
