2024-2025 Workshops

HOSA Canada will be hosting two types of seminars throughout the year: Health Professions workshops and Competitive Events workshops. After each seminar, students are welcome to ask questions and interact with the lecturers. These seminar are held online via Zoom and are open to students who have paid their registration fee. Additionally, hands-on and lecture style workshops will be offered in-person at the Spring Leadership Conference (SLC).

Health Professions Workshops introduce students to various disciplines within the healthcare field, e.g. Dentistry, Veterinary, Nursing, etc.

Competitive Events Workshops focus on a different subset of competitive events, e.g. Teamwork events, Health Science events, etc. HOSA Canada staff and former ILC winners will discuss the event, answer questions, and share insights as well as advice on how to prepare for it. These workshops are recommended for students that are having trouble deciding on which event is right for them, but also for students who have decided on an event and would like to learn more about it.

Leadership Certificate Program

The Leadership Certificate Program (LCP) seeks to recognize students for their commitment to developing leadership skills while broadening their understanding of the different pathways available to them in the health field. The LCP uses the term “seminars” to refer to workshops held online as opposed to “workshops” which are in-person.

Competitive Events Week

This is a week dedicated to discussing all of the different subsets of competitive events offered by HOSA Canada! At these sessions, you can ask questions, discuss tips and tricks from ILC winners, learn about preparation techniques, and engage in group content review.

These workshops are recommended for students looking to learn about the differences between the competitive events that are offered by HOSA Canada and can help students decide which competitive event is right for them.

These seminars will be held online via Zoom and are open to both registered members and non-members.
