HOSA Canada will be hosting two types of workshops throughout the year- Health Professions workshops and Competitive Events workshops. After each workshop, students are welcome to ask questions and interact with the lecturers. These workshops are held online via Zoom and are open to students who have paid both their membership and events fees. Additionally, hands-on and lecture style workshops will be offered in-person at the Spring Leadership Conference (SLC). A list of workshops that were available to students at SLC 2023 can be viewed below.
Health Professions Workshops introduce students to various disciplines within the healthcare field, e.g. Dentistry, Veterinary, Nursing, etc.
Competitive Events Workshops focus on a different subset of competitive events, e.g. Teamwork events, Health Science events, etc. HOSA Canada staff and former ILC winners will discuss the event, answer questions, and share insights as well as advice on how to prepare for it. These workshops are recommended for students that are having trouble deciding on which event is right for them but also for students who have decided on an event and would like to learn more about it.
A variety of Competitive Event Workshops will be held from October 23-26, 2023 to help students learn about the differences between competitive events and decide which competitive event is right for them.

Leadership Certificate Program
The Leadership Certificate Program (LCP) seeks to recognize students for their commitment to developing leadership skills while broadening their understanding of the different pathways available to them in the health field. The LCP uses the term “seminars” to refer to workshops held online as opposed to “workshops” which are in-person.
